A Message from Jim Hughes:

As a voter, you have the right to expect the best from your state government and especially from those whom you elect to represent you at the Statehouse.

In the more than eight years I have served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, we have made significant progress in our efforts to revitalize our economy, improve our schools, make higher education more affordable and to keep our families safe. But there is still more work to be done, which is why I would be honored to have your vote and support so I can continue working for Franklin County families as a member of the Ohio Senate.

I understand that in this economy, keeping and creating more good paying jobs means capitalizing on our regional strengths. I am very proud of the partnerships we have forged between state and local government as well as through our great institutions like The Ohio State University, Battelle and Columbus Children’s Hospital. In the Senate, I will continue working to make Central Ohio a destination for new and growing industries and for the best and brightest individuals in their fields, because the entire community will benefit from their successes.
